S2:E202 – Both Candace and Barbara live their lives knowing that a bruise is very serious and can lead to bleeding to death. They have thrombocytopenia (ITP), a rare immune disorder where blood does not clot normally. Today, both women are at the forefront of providing support to other ITP patients. Two other women, a mother and daughter are coping well with hereditary angioedema or HAE, a disease that causes bouts of swelling that are often disfiguring and which can be life threatening.
