Diagnosis Delayed – Myasthenia Gravis (MG)
With symptoms ranging from lack of muscle control to difficulty breathing, myasthenia gravis (MG) can be a deadly disease that’s often mistaken for other neurological disorders, according to the National Organization for Rare Disorders.
Stacey has been living with MG since she was a young girl, at one point visiting the ICU when her health declined. In this episode, Stacey, now 47, opens up to Medical Stories on how she coped with MG as a child, and how her family empowered her to manage the disease later in her life.
Featuring renowned expert: Dr. James Howard, professor of neurology at UNC School of Medicine.
