Confronting Cancer – Lung PD-L1

It’s called the “invisible disease,” yet the American Cancer Society says lung cancer claims about 127,000 lives each year – roughly the same amount as breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancer combined.

That’s why when former optometrist John, 77, learned he had a PD-L1 expression of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), he prepared for the worst. But as he shares in Medical Stories, John found renewed hope when he qualified for an alternative treatment that offered better results.

Featuring renowned expert: David P. Carbone, Barbara J. Bonner chair in lung cancer research and director of the James Thoracic Center at The Ohio State University.
